Percy Jackson - Rick Riordan

Today, I will be blogging on the bestselling series Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. The series is related to the Greek mythology. The protagonist of this series, Percy Jackson who is the son of Poseidon ( The Greek god of the seas), goes on various missions to stop the almighty Titan Kronos , from invading New York and destroying Mount Olympus, the home of the gods.

The series has five books :
  1. Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief
  2. Percy Jackson And The Sea Of Monster
  3. Percy Jackson And The Titan's Curse
  4. Percy Jackson And The Battle Of The Labyrinth
  5. Percy Jackson And The Last Olympian
The reason why I personally like this series is because Riordan  maintains a clean flow through the plots and he brings in a twist in the story right when you don't expect it.😲

My favourite character in this series is Tyson , a cyclops and Percy's half brother. He first comes into picture in the Sea of Monsters and from there he is in every book except in Titan's curse. He is a very caring and sensitive cyclops although he makes the best jokes out of all the characters.😂😂

My favourite book in this series is The Last Olympian . I was glued to this book because of the suspense and action. The way Riordan has described the fight scenes are so realistic.

I would recommend this series for you because not only do you get hooked onto it , you will get a lot of knowledge on  Greek Mythology as well. Make sure you read this series.😁

  2. I know you are a great fan of Harry Potter book series. I would like to see a blog on the same someday. Though I would not go for a comparison between Piercy Jackson and Harry Potter, but I would like to know your thoughts on the authors Rick Riordan and JK Rowling in the way they do the narration, characterization etc..
