My trip to the land of the rising sun ☼ - Part 2
In the second part in a series of five, I will be blogging on my visit to the Tokyo Disney Land, Hakkeijima Sea Paradise and the Fuji Safari Park.
I was animated when I heard we were going to visit the acclaimed Tokyo Disney Land, one among the only five in the world. The Tokyo Disney Land is ranked third in the world in the amusement/theme parks with the highest annual attendence!
When I reached there, there was only one thing running through my mind, "WOW"!! Built on a cost of 180 Billion yen, it is simply a treat for the eyes. My favourite rides were:
1. Splash Mountain - This takes us inside a mountain like structure, where we are shown characters and songs from a Disney movie named Song Of The South. In the end, the boat plummets down the mountain cliff and we splash into the river flowing below.
2. Star Tours - The Adventures Continue - It is a 3D motion simulator where we have to enter a spaceship. Piloted by "C-3PO" and "R2-D2", we fly through space, attempting to return a rebel spy to the rebel alliance. During the journey, we encounter characters such as Darth Vader and Yoda. It seemed so real, that I felt like I am actually in space.😁
After the ethereal experience in the Tokyo Disney Land, we went to the Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise along with friends from Japan. The first ride we experienced was the free fall. Named as the Blue Fall, the free fall is at the height of 107 metres!! As the seats started succumbed to gravity, I felt like there was no cusion under me to support me as it fell at supersonic speed. When I reached the ground and recollected my memories, I realised that it was an thrilling experience.
The star attraction in the Sea Paradise is the aquarium which was amazing. Watching seals and dolphins do tricks, was very cute ; but the best part was when my mother and I took a picture with a penguin and touched it!
To top it all, we went on a crazy roller coaster ride. Known as the Surf Coaster, it is the second highest roller coaster in Japan and is on the sea!! Going at terrifying speed, and with almost vertical loops, I was scared out of my wits!😓
This was followed by a visit to the Fuji Safari Park along with friends from India. It was over there that I first saw the world renown Mount Fuji! I was blown out of my mind as I stood gawking at this magnificent giant. It's perfectly symmetrical cone amazed me.
In the safari, we drove through the forest and saw tigers and girraffes. We then went to centres where you can cuddle animals in the safari park. I petted dogs, cats and a hare. It was an adorable and relaxing experience. I also spotted the Capybara, which is the largest living species of the rodent family.
It was an amusing and entertaining experience. Please check out my future blogs.😃
