Black Panther

In the wake of the recent 91st Academy Awards, I will be blogging on one of Marvel Studio's biggest blockbuster movies, Black Panther. The movie won three Oscars for Best Costume Design, Best Original Score and for the Best Production Design.

Released in 2018, the movie was directed by Ryan Coogler. The main story arc deals with how a young king named T'Challa(Chadwick Boseman), who is a super hero named Black Panther, is all set to rule his kingdom after his father's death; when a relative defeats him in a contest and becomes the new king. In the end, after an epic fight, Black Panther wins and regains his position as the King.

I was absolutely mesmerized while watching the movie in the theatre with the big screen and booming audio. Here are few reasons why I love this movie:

1. The cinematography - The movie has some amazing camera work and awesome scenes. From close-ups to aerial shots, the scenes have it all. The transition of the scenes are very smooth and makes it easy for  viewers to appreciate the movie all-together more.

2. The acting - Though there were no glittery film stars in the cast, the producers have chosen actors of African descent. Set in Africa, it was no surprise that the actors were at their best. Chadwick Boseman and Letitia Wright showed a superlative performance and Boseman even got nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars.

3. The setting - The crew has used amazing and jaw-dropping backgrounds for the movie. This just leads the audience(including me!!) to fall in love with Africa.

My favourite character is Black Panther. I like him because of his super cool suit and awesome fighting moves. A unique message the movie is trying to give is that how well Modern technology can blend in with ancient culture. The movie is action-packed and Chadwick Boseman has delivered it accordingly. There are a few hilarious jokes as well.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a movie which has done well on all aspects, Black Panther might be one of your best bets 😃
