KER - Part 4
In this post, I will be blogging on day three and four of the KER week.
Day 3:
We started with some energizing and fun activities. Now all set for the day, we were given a task. Each of us were given a cardboard box. For ten minutes, we could play with the box in however way we wanted. Then we had to imagine that we have each founded a school. Thinking the school to be the cardboard box, we had to design it the way we wanted our school to be. This was not a vague concept for me as I had played with the box for a long time and now had the feeling that it has been my possession for a long time.
I immediately started working on the cardboard box, thinking of it as my school. I painted it with blue and black(which are my favourite colours) and painted the layout of my school as well. I wanted my school to have lots of sports facilities and highly trained and kind teachers. Based on this I designed my school. The purpose of this activity was for us to learn to not restrict our imagination and learning and the fact that we can do anything if we dream and imagine big.
Later in the day, a singer visited us. He used to be a teacher for Teach For India and was asked by Shaheen Mistry to come over and sing some songs for us. He was a wonderful singer with a good voice. He would teach us the songs, and we all would sing it together. It was great fun singing songs together!!

Day 4:
This was the last day we would be having classroom sessions in the KER week prior to the upcoming mega three days of the KER week. Day 4 was all about reliving our experiences of the past three days of KER. Everyone including the teachers were asked to talk about how they felt. Everybody loved KER and they all mentioned about the immense learning KER has given them. I said that a new experience such as KER has helped me a lot. Towards night, we had a mini talents show, where anybody who wanted to showcase their talent, could come forward and do so. This stretched till midnight.
Then, we sleepily gathered our stuff and got onto the bus which took us from Colaba to Bandra, which is an other suburb in Mumbai. The three days to follow would take place in Bandra. While going to our new destination, the bus got onto the Worli-Sea link, which connects Worli(a suburb in Mumbai) to Bandra by a sea link. It was fantabalous to be have the Arabian sea on either side that too in the middle of the night. The Sea link bridge was lighted superbly and was a treat for my eyes.
In the next blog, I will be writing on the final but mega three days of the KER week😃
