Higashi Ojima & Komatsugawa Park

Few days ago, I shifted back to Tokyo, the capital city of Japan. I was super excited when I heard the news that we we are moving to Tokyo and when we arrived, I was too joyous even to speak!!
I am living in Higashi Ojima,  which is a suburb in Tokyo. When I came to Higashi Ojima, I was blown away!! Every place is spotlessly clean and after breathing in a slight whiff of the air, I immediately found out that the air was super fresh and it had no pollution.

A reason why Higashi Ojima is a marvel is that though Sera Komatsugawa(my apartment complex) is huge and has over fifteen buildings, there are neatly trimmed trees which are a treat to look at as well as small birds chirping and flying everywhere. This environment creates such a profound impact that even while Higashi Ojima is close to the heart of the bustling Tokyo and has a huge number of people living in it, I, as a resident, get the feeling that I live right in the midst of nature. A huge chunk of the credit goes to the Japanese as they work very hard to keep nature clean and perfect.

Adjacent to Sera Komatsugawa is the Arakawa river. The river is sublime and is very pristine and clear. The banks of the river are filled with Cherry Blossom trees. During the spring season, the trees burst with Cherry Blossoms and the resulting sight is unbelievable!! The Higashi Ojima Metro Station is only a three minute walk from my apartment. The Train Metro network is the most used and convenient mode of transport in Tokyo. The short distance from my apartment to the station is useful for me as I will be using the metro trains to commute from home to school and back everyday.

Behind Sera Komatsugawa is one of my favourite places in Tokyo, the Komatsugawa Park. This is a huge park with playing equipment, vast open grounds for picnics and barbecues and multiple sports facilities. I could not believe my eyes when I found out that there was a massive park right behind my apartment. The park is very beautiful with lush green grass and thick trees. I was amazed when I heard the fact that the park has a 1000 Cherry Blossom trees!! This led me to think that if two or three Cherry Blossom Trees look so beautiful, how will 1000 of them together be!! I am definately waiting to see the scenery😎 The playing equipment are super fun including climbing a rope to a super long and fast slide. There is also a mini version of Rope Gliding!! The park includes six tennis courts and two baseball practice fields as well as ample space to play football and rugby.

In conclusion, Higashi Ojima is a place that blends nature and modern day activities together and is one of the best suburbs in Tokyo😃
